Friday, January 25, 2008, an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the newly built Winston County Archives Building located adjacent to the Winston County Court House on Highway 195 in Double Springs, Alabama. People from across the county were in attendance for the festivities. The Winston County Archives Building was erected by the Winston County Commission on land donated to the county, the previous site of the late Dr. Thomas Malcolm Blake, M.D.'s medical office.
